Ukrainian president changes structure of Security Service
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has merged the branches of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
Under decree No. 160/2013 dated March 26, 2013, the new agency is called the Main Department of the Security Service in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
In addition, the department of counterintelligence protection of Ukraine's economy has been transformed into the department of counterintelligence protection of state interests in economic security.
The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.
