National Open World Project enters practical stage in 54 schools, says Kaskiv
The National Open World Project has started its practical stage, Head of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine Vladyslav Kaskiv said while announcing the results of project bids in Kyiv on Friday.
According to him, 54 schools throughout all regions of Ukraine will participate in the first implementation stage - in particular the seventh grade, under the principle one computer per one pupil and one computer per one teacher.
The first stage will last by the end of this school year. The overall investments will total UAH 40 million. The second stage will start on September 1 and will be held in fifth and ninth grades.
As Kaskiv said, all project is to be implemented until 2016, and UAH 70 million is to be spent for it.
He also said that Ukraine’s integration into the world education process and formation of the Ukrainian language information space will be one of the aims of the national project.
