Tymoshenko won't participate in UESU case hearing via video linkup, says Vlasenko
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will not participate via a video linkup in a sitting of Kharkiv-based Kyivsky District Court to hear the criminal case on the activities of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine Corporation (UESU) on Friday, the ex-premier's defense counsel, Serhiy Vlasenko, has said.
"The old Criminal Procedure Code, which is used in this case, does not envisage holding court hearings via a video linkup. It allows holding video linkups only for some investigatory or other proceedings. Yulia Volodymyrivna will not break the law," he told an Interfax-Ukraine reporter.
