Early mayoral elections in Vasylkiv, Alchevsk scheduled for June 2
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has scheduled early mayoral election in Vasylkiv (Kyiv region) for June 2, 2013.
A total of 343 of the 399 MPs registered in the sitting hall supported this decision on Thursday.
As reported, on March 20, the Ukrainian parliamentarians made several attempts to schedule the mayoral election in Vasylkiv, but did manage to do this due to several breaks for consultations.
In addition, the MPs scheduled early mayoral election in Alchevsk (Luhansk region) for June 2, 2013. Some 352 parliamentarians supported this decision.
