The Ukrainian Embassy in Qatar opened in Doha on Tuesday, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Al-Hajri said at a meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador to Qatar Yevhen Mykytenko said that this step would contribute to the intensification of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
"The parties considered in detail a plan on the exchange of visits by official delegations this year, steps to expand the legal framework, and joint events on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the State of Qatar (April 13)," reads the statement.
Mykytenko and Al-Hajri also discussed some aspects of the current situation in the Middle East.
