Ukrainians evacuated from Syria to Moscow to return home on Wednesday, says Foreign Ministry
Fourteen Ukrainians have arrived in Moscow from Syria on an aircraft of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and will soon return home, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.
Under an agreement with the Russian Federation, 14 Ukrainians arrived at Domodedovo airport from the Syrian city of Latakia on March 12. The Ukrainian Embassy met them at the airport and provided them with accommodation, the ministry said.
These citizens will return to Ukraine on March 13 with the support of the Foreign Ministry and Ukrainian railways.
The Foreign Minister together with other state agencies has evacuated a total of 563 Ukrainians from Syria since the beginning of 2011.
