Tymoshenko not taken back to prison to avoid aggravated situation, says prosecutor general

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has not been taken back from Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 to the Kachanivska Penal Colony in order to avoid the aggravation of the situation around her, Ukraine's Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka has said.

"They ask why today Tymoshenko hasn't been taken back to the prison if she is healthy. Well, again it's all about a humane attitude to Tymoshenko, as we don't want to trigger a conflict again, in which she would say that she was transported to the colony, although she had to stay at the clinic," Pshonka told journalists in Donetsk on Wednesday.

He added that "today we have a conclusion of forensic medicine experts with a warning about criminal responsibility…saying that Tymoshenko is able to attend court hearings and participate in investigatory proceedings."
