FEMEN activists who tried to attack Berlusconi released from police station in Milan

Three activists of the FEMEN women's rights group, who tried to attack Silvio Berlusconi on February 24 when he arrived at a polling station in Milan, have been released from the local police station, the group's press service has reported.

The activists said they had "managed to declare to the whole world of the threat of the mafia revenge in the face of the maniac Berlusconi."

As reported, three half-naked activists on Sunday staged a protest against former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The women tried to attack Berlusconi when he arrived at a polling station in Milan to participate in the parliamentary elections. The girls had the slogan "Basta Berlusconi" painted on their bare backs.

Police immediately arrested the activists.
