Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that all of the necessary normative documents necessary for the introduction of insurance medicine in Ukraine are ready.
"We're close to settling the issue, actually, and all of the normative documents are ready," Yanukovych said in the Dialogue with the Country live television program on Friday.
The head of state added that foreign experts with experience in healthcare reform implementation participated in the work on the documents, and Russia's experience in the sphere was used.
According to Yanukovych, the healthcare system of the country should be drastically changed, although it is a difficult task.
He added that the development of the emergency medical aid system should be finished by 2014.
