Lawyer rejects info about Kuchma's detention in Kyiv
Viktor Petrunenko, lawyer of Second Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, has rejected reports of alleged detention of Kuchma at Zhuliany Kyiv International Airport.
"This information is untrustworthy," he told an Interfax-Ukraine reporter.
As reported, Kuchma went to Kharkiv to present graduates from Kharkiv Aviation Institute with diplomas and stipends of the presidential fund Ukraine.
Earlier, a little known Russian Web site reported, referring to some Ukrainian media, that Kuchma had allegedly been detained at the airport.
The press services of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and the airport told Interfax-Ukraine that they did not have any information on the issue.
