Opposition still blocking parliament

Representatives of the Batkivschyna, Svoboda and UDAR parliamentary factions led by their heads, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Oleh Tiahnybok and Vitali Klitschko, continued on Thursday to block the rostrum and presidium of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter at the parliament, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak came to the sitting hall and talked to the Regions Party faction members.

Later on, the Regions Party and the Communist Party parliamentary factions left the sitting hall of the Verkhovna Rada.

"The rostrum is blocked, it's impossible to work," a people's deputy from the Regions Party faction told journalists while leaving the sitting hall.

The opposition parliamentary factions have been blocking the parliament's work since February 5, demanding that individual voting be introduced.
