A general meeting of the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU), which took place on February 14, has again failed to elect the bureau's presidium, a participant of the meeting told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the source, the main reason was the unwillingness of bureau members to take responsibility for the complicated situation on the OSAGO market (obligatory insurance of the civil liability of car owners), as well as for the implementation of the plan of work to improve the market's work, which was earlier confirmed by the bureau's members. The plan involves fighting dumping, dealing with the bankruptcy of MTIBU members, etc.
However, the members voted to elect UNIQA Board Chairman Yuriy Yefymov to the MTIBU coordination council.
The bureau's directorate and coordination council will continue to run the bureau until its presidium is elected.
