Yanukovych wants sports community to be involved in preparations for EuroBasket 2015

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that it is necessary to involve the sports community and experts involved in the preparations for Euro 2012 in preparations for the European Basketball Championship in 2015.

"I proposed that [Deputy Prime Minister] Oleksandr Yuriyovych Vilkul involve in this work in experts who already have experience in preparing for Euro 2012," he said at a meeting of the coordinating committee on preparations for EuroBasket 2015 in Kyiv on Friday.

Yanukovych also said there was a need to involve the sports community in this process and to oversee the quality and timing of the work that needs to be done as part of preparations for the tournament.
