Regions Party hopes parliament will start working on February 19
The leader of the Regions Party faction in parliament, Oleksandr Yefremov, has said he hopes that the Verkhovna Rada will start working on February 19.
"We hope that the negotiation process will end this week and that next week we find answers to the questions that are facing us, and we will launch the work of the parliament from [February] 19, during the next session week," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
Yefremov also said that no results were produced at a meeting between Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak and the heads of parliamentary factions on Thursday.
"We again spent over an hour in the office of the speaker. There is no constructive progress in the settlement of issues," he said.
As reported, Rybak earlier predicted that the Verkhovna Rada would open its second session on February 19.
