Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has said he expects the EU-Ukraine Summit, due to be held in Brussels on February 25, to produce practical results.
"There is a total understanding with the European side today regarding steps Ukraine will have to take as part of preparations for the summit. We expect to receive practical and clear results after the summit," Kozhara said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The summit agenda will include the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, reforms in Ukraine, including electoral law amendments, and a lot of other topics, the minister said.
"As far as concrete results of the summit are concerned, we expect it to address issues and formulate views on the prospects for Ukraine's implementation of its action plan aimed at liberalizing visa requirements," he said.
Ukraine hopes that amendments to the agreement easing visa rules will come into force soon, Kozhara said.
