Ukraine offers help to Brazil in curing nightclub fire victims
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has offered assistance in the treatment of Santa Maria nightclub fire victims in a telephone conversation with his Brazilian counterpart Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.
"Brazil was offered possible treatment of the victims at the Donetsk Burn Center that is experienced in treating burns and transplanting skin," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported after the telephone conversation of the ministers.
Kozhara presented condolences to Patriota over high casualties in the nightclub fire.
In addition, the ministers discussed ways to boost the political dialogue, in particular, with high-level bilateral visits. They discussed interaction in joint large-scale projects in aerospace and other sectors.
The fire at a Santa Maria nightclub in southern Brazil broke out on January 27. It took 231 lives, and 75 victims are staying at the hospital's intensive care unit. BBC said negligent handling of pyrotechnic devices caused the fire.
