Cabinet to submit to Rada bill on visa liberalization before EU-Ukraine summit, says foreign minister
The Ukrainian government will submit to the Verkhovna Rada a number of bills on the liberalization of the visa regime with the European Union before the EU-Ukraine summit, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara has said.
"We expect that the Ukraine-EU summit will be productive. We also expect that the Ukrainian government before the summit will submit a few more bills to parliament in order to make possible the implementation of the first stage of the action plan on the liberalization of the visa regime with Ukraine by the European Union," he said.
The minister said that Ukraine's intentions to join the European Union remain unchanged and the issue of the visa regime liberalization with the EU is still among its priorities.
The Ukraine-EU summit is scheduled to take place in Brussels on February 25.
