Azarov: Free sale of arms to population could be serious threat
Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has said that if the Ukrainian civil population has access to weapons it wouldn't increase the degree of security in the country.
"World experience shows that civil population's bearing arms doesn't increase the degree of public security, and on the contrary it creates a very serious threat," he wrote on his page in Facebook on Friday, asked about his attitude to every citizen of Ukraine soon being able to buy firearms.
According to Azarov, public order should be maintained by those who are legally charged with doing so, so that the public feels safe.
