Yanukovych to visit Vilnius February 6 to discuss cooperation with EU, says Lithuanian presidential adviser
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will make an official visit to Vilnius in early February, Chief Adviser to the Lithuanian President Daiva Ulbinaite has said.
"The sides will discuss bilateral relations, economic cooperation and relations between Ukraine and the European Union," she told Baltic News Service on Friday.
According to Ulbinaite, the Ukrainian president will visit Vilnius on February 6.
She added that much attention will be paid to the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit due in November in Lithuania, as Ukraine hopes to sign the Association Agreement with the EU during it.
"In November 2013 in Vilnius we are planning to sign an agreement on association and a free trade area [with the EU]," the president said on January 24 in Davos (Switzerland).
