The international women's movement Femen is planning to open its branch in Germany.
Femen's press release reads that a group of instructors from Ukraine led by Oleksandra Shevchenko, who heads the movement, has departed for Germany. Femen-Germany offices will be located in Berlin and Hamburg.
"The reason for creating a branch of the movement is a huge number of German young women that want to protect women's rights and announce war against the sex industry, church and other medieval forms of oppression of women," the movement said.
Femen-Germany is the third official branch of the movement, apart from that in Ukraine and France. Femen set up a branch in France in 2012. The movement is planning to register more offices in Brazil, Tunisia, and the United States.
