Ukraine's foreign minister to visit Turkmenistan on January 22-23
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara will make a visit to Turkmenistan on January 22-23.
Acting Director of the Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Yevhen Perebyinis told a press briefing on Tuesday that the minister will meet with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, members of the country's government, and diplomats.
"They are planning to discuss cooperation between Ukraine and Turkmenistan, particularly the effective development of the political dialogue at the top level and the organization of a visit by the president of Turkmenistan to Ukraine. The sides will also discuss extension of trade and economic cooperation, including the intensification in the construction and fuel and energy spheres," he said.
The sides will also raise the issue of cooperation between Ukraine and Turkmenistan on the international arena, particularly within the UN and the OSCE.
