Ukrainian foreign minister invites Moldovan, Transdniestrian leaders for talks in Lviv in February
OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has invited Moldovan President Yevgeny Shevchuk and Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat to hold a 5+2 meeting in Lviv in the end of February.
"I have invited Yevgeny Vasilyevich (Shevchuk) to visit Ukraine soon. We have a good occasion. A round of the 5+2 negotiations will take place in Lviv in the end of February. We have invited Moldova, as well. Mr. Filat sent us a confirmation. We have a wish to make the dialogue between both banks of the Dniester River permanent so that intermediaries don't play the broken telephone game," Kozhara told a Tuesday press briefing in Tiraspol.
Transdniestria and Moldova are holding the settlement negotiations with the mediation of Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE and observation by the EU and the United States.
