Foreign Ministry: Introduction of universal list of documents for Schengen visas 'a matter of time'
Ukraine is conducting systemic work to get a universal list of documents required for the issuing of Schengen visas to Ukrainian citizens, Deputy Foreign Minister Ruslan Demchenko has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"We're conducting systematic work in this direction in Kyiv and Brussels, and we're working with the embassies of foreign countries accredited here. We have such a list, it's also being worked out, and it's a matter of time," he said.
Demchenko said the Ukrainian side thinks it is necessary to minimize the number of documents submitted by Ukrainian citizens to obtain Schengen visas.
As reported, Schengen countries introduced a universal list of documents for Russians to obtain visas. This list has been published by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
