Nearly 100,000 people holiday in Crimea on New Year and Christmas holidays
Almost 100,000 people holidayed in Crimea during the New Year and Christmas holidays, the resort and information center of the autonomy reported on Tuesday, referring to Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers Heorhiy Psariov.
He said that from December 28, 2012 to January 14, 2013 the peninsula was visited by 98,870 tourists, or 5,680 people more than in the same period in the previous year (93,190).
"An analysis conducted by the Crimean Resorts and Tourism Ministry showed that the occupancy of Crimean hotels during New Year and Christmas holidays depends on the organized event program, the price of a package tour, as well as its compliance with the holiday program and the level of hotel," Psariov said.
