Cabinet may soon consider replacement of Naftogaz management, says source
The Ukrainian government may soon consider the replacement of the management of the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy, an informed source told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the source, this issue may be raised at the Cabinet's meeting on Wednesday.
Yevhen Bakulin is the current CEO of Naftogaz Ukrainy.
The market thinks the issue has something to do with changes at the top of the Energy and Coal Ministry late last year.
However, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky said stability was needed at the height of the heating season and that a change at the helm of Naftogaz would be inappropriate.
