Mexico investigating disappearance of Ukrainian married couple, says ministry
Mexican police are working on the identification of the body of a man that was found on January 7 in the state of Yucatan in a car that had been leased by a Ukrainian citizen, Oleksandr Batychko.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said on Tuesday that the agencies are also taking measures to find Batychko's wife – Maryna Burakova – who was in Mexico with him.
"The embassy is in touch with the citizens' relatives and is actively assisting the Mexican side in their investigations into the case," the ministry said.
The case is under special control of the Department of Consular Service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and Ukraine's Embassy in the United Mexican States.
