President appoints Yakymenko to head Security Service of Ukraine
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has appointed Oleksandr Yakymenko to be Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
Earlier, Yakymenko held the post of First Deputy Head of the SBU – Head of the SBU Main department for fight against corruption and organized crime.
The corresponding orders were signed by the president and posted on his official Website on Wednesday.
As reported, on July 5, 2012 Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych appointed Oleksandr Yakymenko to be First Deputy Head of the SBU - Head of the SBU Main department for fight against corruption and organized crime.
Earlier the president dismissed him from the post of head of SBU department in Donetsk region. Yakymenko was appointed for this post on August 5, 2011. Previously he led the SBU department in Sevastopol, being appointed on this post on March 18, 2010.
