Fund for Social Protection of Disabled Persons to call tender to buy 505 cars
The Fund for the Social Protection of Disabled Persons of the Labor and Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine is to buy 505 cars in 2013, including 359 cars with regular steering wheels, 66 manually operated cars for the people missing a leg, and 80 cars for persons missing two legs.
According to an announcement published in the State Procurements Bulletin on Monday, the bids for the purchase of the cars are to be opened on February 7.
As reported, PJSC Zaporizhia Automobile Plant (ZAZ) and the AIS group of companies supplied cars for disabled persons in 2012.
On August 2012, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a state order on the purchase of services and goods for state needs, including to provide people with disabilities and disabled Chornobyl cleanup workers with cars worth a total of UAH 87.44 million (UAH 88.85 million was allocated for this purpose in 2011).
