Yeliseyev: Association agreement with EU to resolve problem with revision of WTO tariffs with EU member states
After signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, Kyiv will automatically resolve the problem within the WTO with EU countries, which arose in connection with an application for the revision of 371 tariff lines, Ukraine's representative to the European Union, Ambassador Kostiantyn Yeliseyev, has said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
He said that after the agreement is signed, this issue would not be important for the EU countries.
"The document envisages all of the respective terms of trade between Kyiv and Brussels, including tariffs and quotas," Yeliseyev said.
In this regard, he said that the situation with the "issue of 371" tariff lines would not create any obstacles to the adoption by the EU member states of a positive decision on the signing of the association agreement with Ukraine.
"The signing and temporary application of the agreement will help resolve this dilemma," the Ukrainian diplomat said.
