Gender equality restoring in Ukrainian government, says PM
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said he is glad that gender equality in the Ukrainian government is restoring, as there are three women among its members now.
"Now there are three women in the Cabinet of Ministers. So, gender equality is gradually restoring," he wrote on Facebook on Monday.
The premier also noted that the membership of the government has become much younger.
"People with good life experience have come to it. We should hope that it [the government] will justify our people's expectations," he added.
As reported, on Monday Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych appointed the new government. Raisa Bohatyriova was appointed as the health minister, Natalia Korolevska became the social policy minister, and Olena Lukash was appointed as the minister of the Cabinet of Ministers.
