Economic growth is new government's priority task, says Azarov
The key task of the newly appointed government is to guarantee the economic growth in the country, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"Only stimulation of the economic growth will allow guaranteeing improvement of social standards," the premier's press service cited Azarov as saying at the first meeting of the new Cabinet of Ministers on Monday.
He instructed all Ukrainian ministries to participate in the development of an action plan for the government for 2013-2014 to ensure the economic growth. The program has to be supported by the following resources: loans, investments, and budget funds.
Azarov stressed that Ukraine's foreign trade balance has to be improved. He also said that the country has to produce competitive products and promote Ukrainian goods on foreign markets.
The premier also noted that Ukrainian minister should communicate more with the media, inform the society about their work and important decisions.
