A total of 83 people have frozen to death in Ukraine as of the morning of December 21, adviser to the Ukrainian Health Minister Volodymyr Yurchenko has said.
The official specified that 11 people died at hospitals, 57 on the streets, and 15 at their homes.
The highest death tolls from hypothermia were registered in Cherkasy region (11 people), Sumy region (10 people), and Kyiv region (nine people).
A total of 632 people have asked for medical assistance, and 526 of them were hospitalized, as of 0800 on December 21.
