Bad weather cuts power supply to 371 residential areas in Ukraine
Bad weather had cut power supplies to 371 populated areas in Ukraine as of Monday morning, the Emergencies Ministry reports.
High winds and ice caused power outages in 129 populated areas in Kyiv region, 48 in Ternopil region, 24 in Rivne region, 46 in Zhytomyr region, 23 in Chernivtsi region, seven in Volyn region, 15 in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 45 in Lviv region, seven in Vinnytsia region, 23 in Khmelnytsky region and four in Kirovohrad region, the ministry said.
Teams from regional energy companies and 51 cross-country vehicles from the Emergencies Ministry and 245 ministry specialists are working to restore power.
Nine mobile power plants have been assigned to supply electric power to hospitals and other vital facilities.
