Batkivschyna plans to cooperate with Svoboda in parliament, despite ideological differences
The Batkivschyna faction is planning to cooperate with the Svoboda faction against the regime of President Viktor Yanukovych, although they have ideological differences.
"We have ideological differences. But at the same time, three opposition parties are against the regime, against the president, and they want a new future for Ukraine. Therefore, we will cooperate for the sake of this," the leader of the Batkivschyna faction, Arseniy Yatseniuk, told journalists on Thursday, while commenting on a statement by the European Parliament calling on Ukrainian political parties not to create a coalition in parliament with the radical Svoboda political party.
