Rada approves list and composition of committees, next plenary meeting scheduled for December 18
The Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation will have 27 committees and a controlling commission on privatization.
An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that 238 MPs voted for a respective decision on the list and composition of committees on Thursday. At the same time, the composition of the committees was not approved.
Decision were taken only by MPs of the factions of the Regions Party, the Communist Party and independent lawmakers, because Batkivschyna, UDAR and Svoboda walked out of the session hall.
After the vote, newly-elected Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak closed the meeting and scheduled the next meeting for Tuesday, December 18.
