Justice Ministry to submit counterclaim against ruling to pay UESU's debts by Ukraine to Russia's Defense Ministry in coming days, says official
The Justice Ministry of Ukraine will soon file a counterclaim against a ruling of the economic court of appeals on the payment of the debts of United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) by Ukraine to the Defense Ministry of Russia, and will ask for the suspension of the execution of the ruling.
"In coming days [the counterclaim] will be filed, along with a request to suspend the execution of the ruling of the economic court of appeals, as after the appeal the ruling took effect," First Deputy Justice Minister of Ukraine, Inna Yemelyanova, told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
Asked when the counterclaim could be heard by the higher economic court, she said that the code sets concrete procedural terms, and she thought that it would not be delayed.
She said that the counterclaim has been drawn up.
