Communist Party MP Ihor Kaletnik elected as Verkhovna Rada First Deputy Chairman
Communist Party faction MP Ihor Kaletnik has been elected as the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.
According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, 241 MPs supported Kaletnik's candidacy, and 100 voted against it. In particular, Kaletnik received 203 votes from the Regions Party, 32 from the Communist Party, and six from independent parliamentarians.
