Newly elected parliamentary chairman vows to speak only Ukrainian at Verkhovna Rada
The newly elected chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, Volodymyr Rybak, has promised the parliamentarians that he will speak only Ukrainian in parliament.
At first, he started speaking Russian and then he stopped short, apologized, and said: "I will speak only the state language, I promise you."
Rybak thanked all MPs that supported his candidacy.
