Yatseniuk says vote on prime minister to be held after committees are formed
The head of the faction of the Batkivschyna United Opposition, Arseniy Yatseniuk, has said that a vote on Ukraine's prime minister will be held only after the parliamentary committees are formed.
"A vote on Ukraine's prime minister is possible only after the laws on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the rules of procedure are respected, in particular, the formation of committees and the consideration of candidates for prime minister by all committees. Parliament has the right to consider this issue," he said in parliament on Wednesday.
"There will be no unconstitutional vote for prime minister. We will form committees, observe the law and then consider the prime minister's candidacy," he said.
Earlier, Yatseniuk urged MPs to form an accounting commission of the Verkhovna Rada, which would report on the working condition of the Rada electronic voting system.
