Opposition deputies block parliament's presidium and rostrum, demanding break
The deputies of the Batkivschyna United Opposition are blocking the rostrum and presidium of the Verkhovna Rada, demanding a break in its meeting in order to resolve the issue with the father and son MPs, the Tabalovs.
"Today we saw that two MPs who were not present in the session hall and did not take the oath have no right to be MPs. Therefore, I'm demanding that a half-hour break be announced to resolve this issue," a member of the parliament's temporary presidium, Andriy Kozhemiakin, said.
MP Oleksandr Yefremov, who is presiding at the meeting, refused to announce the break. In protest, the opposition members moved towards the presidium, demanding a break.
Yefremov, in turn, invited representatives of all factions to speak to discuss the current situation.
