Femen activists detained for actions outside parliament
Police officers detained four activists of the women's movement Femen near the building of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on Wednesday.
Several half-naked young women, pretending that they were saddling horses, tried to "jump into the Rada."
The public liaisons office of the Main Department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Kyiv told Interfax-Ukraine that the activists were arrested for disorderly conduct. They were taken to Pechersky district police office.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the women under Article 173 of the Administrative Code (disorderly conduct) and the activists were released then.
It is snowing in Kyiv. The temperature outside is around -3 degrees Celsius.
