OSCE should stop servicing interests of selected countries - Putin
Russia hopes the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will take care of the interests of all countries during Ukraine's presidency in 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"It is important to intensify coordination on the most essential aspects of the organization's activities. Unfortunately, the current state of affairs is not inspiring optimism. It is time the OSCE stopped taking care of the interests of individual countries and focused on unifying agendas," he said at a narrow-format meeting of the Heads of State Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Ukraine will assume the rotating presidency of the OSCE in 2013, he added.
"I hope Ukraine will take up this particular position during its presidency of the OSCE in 2013," Putin said.
