Ukrainian delegation never left UN General Assembly sitting during vote on Palestine, says Foreign Ministry
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has dismissed media reports that Ukrainian diplomats allegedly left the hall during the vote on the resolution on Palestine at the UN General Assembly.
"The reports saying that Ukraine's delegation allegedly left the hall of the General Assembly during the vote on the UN resolution on Palestine are absolutely inaccurate. Our delegation did not leave the hall during the vote on the resolution, although there is such a way to demonstrate a position, but it carries the signs of a protest, that is why it was unacceptable for the delegation of Ukraine," the ministry's spokesman, Oleksandr Dykusarov, said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
According to him, the Ukrainian delegation did not participate in the vote on the resolution.
On November 29, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution on grant Palestine non-Member Observer State status in the United Nations.
