Communists support introduction of individual voting of MPs
The faction of the Ukrainian Communist Party in parliament is ready to vote individually, its leader, Petro Symonenko, has said.
"On behalf of the faction I again declare that the faction will fulfill the constitutional requirement with respect to personal voting," he said at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council on Monday.
He also said that the faction would vote for a draft resolution proposing the introduction of individual voting by MPs.
While addressing the opposition, Symonenko said: "Here we have to act so that everyone realizes that you're defending yourselves, and how you propose to resolve this problem."
As reported, the BYT-Batkivschyna is insisting on the individual vote of MPs.
"We are demanding the consideration of this issue [on the individual voting of MPs], therefore if this bill is considered at a meeting of the working group today, then we will come," the leader of the faction, Andriy Kozhemiakin, said at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council.
