Kyiv City Council ups 2012 budget by UAH 1.5 b due to compensation for difference in heat tariffs
The deputies of Kyiv City Council have increased the Kyiv budget for the current year by UAH 1.5 billion due to the provision of subsidies from the national budget to cover the difference in heat tariffs.
A total of 96 of the 97 registered deputies voted for the draft decision.
"This will allow Kyiv to repay in full the difference in tariffs that will form by December 31, 2012," Ruslan Kramarenko said, when discussing the decision.
According to him, the total amount of subventions provided to Kyiv (including the mentioned UAH 1.5 billion) in 2012 will amount to UAH 4.9 billion, accounting for about 70% of the total subventions to cover the difference in tariffs in Ukraine.
