The United Arab Emirates have announced that its embassy will open in Kyiv soon.
This is stated in a joint statement adopted during an official visit of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to the UAE, the Ukrainian president's press service reported.
The document says that the president of Ukraine and the UAE discussed a range of issues of bilateral relations in various areas, as well as a wide range of regional and international issues which are of common interest.
The presidents welcomed the activities of the Ukrainian-UAE joint commission on trade and economic cooperation, which has already held several successful meetings. The parties agreed to enhance cooperation in industrial, investment, aviation, construction and military sectors.
In addition, Yanukovych thanked Sheikh Khalifa for his warm welcome and invited him to visit Ukraine. The UAE president accepted the invitation.
