Azarov positively evaluates talks on problems with Russia
Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov is satisfied with the course of negotiations on problems in bilateral relations with Russia.
"We held very friendly talks with the Russian leaders. They were held in an atmosphere of full understanding, and of course we agreed that we are moving forward, not as fast as we'd like, but we're still moving forward," he said on Friday during a visit to Interfax-Ukraine to mark the agency's 20th anniversary.
"This is good, as there were times when we were moving backwards. I think we will move forward if we work in the way we're working now," Azarov said.
As reported, on November 21 the Ukrainian premier visited Moscow to meet with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. They discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations, particularly the energy sphere, as well as Ukraine's relations with the Customs Union.
