Kyiv may sign association agreement with EU in latter half of 2013, says Khoroshkovsky
The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU may be signed in the second half of 2013, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovsky has said.
"Thank God, we have heard these signals, including [those voiced] after a meeting of German Chancellor [Angela Merkel] with Mr. Tusk (Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk), that we still have a serious chance to sign an Association Agreement next year," he said at the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Kyiv on Wednesday.
The first vice-premier noted that the date of signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU was not yet determined. "Most likely, this will be the second half of 2013. We have this chance," Khoroshkovsky said noting that Ukraine understood the obstacles and problems that were in the way of signing the agreement.
