Opposition demands president report on economic situation in Ukraine
Ukraine's opposition has demanded President Viktor Yanukovych report on the economic situation in the country
"We demand from the president ... a report on the economic situation. The country is entering an economic recession and [Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola] Azarov and Yanukovych are responsible for this," one of the leaders of the Batkivschyna United Opposition Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a morning plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.
He said the opposition demands that the government answer the question of when the draft state budget for 2013 will be submitted and whether the social standards will be maintained.
Yatseniuk also said that the opposition is strongly against on the introduction of a 15% fee to the Pension Fund from the sale of cash foreign currency by individuals.
