Court refuses to invalidate election results in constituency No. 184 in Kherson region - media
The Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine has upheld a decision of the Central Election Commission to declare the candidate of the Regions Party, Mykola Dmytruk, the winner of the parliamentary elections in single-seat constituency No. 184 (Kherson region), according to ZN.UA Web site.
The court announced this ruling on Sunday, November 18, thus dismissing a lawsuit by a candidate who ran in the same constituency, Ivan Vinnyk (self-nominee).
In his lawsuit, Vinnyk asked the court to cancel the decision of the CEC to recognize the results of the vote in constituency No. 184, and hold repeat election there. The lawsuit stated that the original reports from polling stations showed that Vinnyk won in the constituency by a margin of 117 votes.
However, the CEC approved the decision of the district election commission to declare Dmytruk the winner in the constituency.
